“Embrace the Spotlight” is a public speaking and presentation skills program. The purpose of this program is to help people to gain confidence and eloquence in their presentation abilities. I offer workshops and one-on-one coaching.

Public speaking is a terrifying experience for many people, but not everyone can avoid it. Some people have to do it for work or school, while others may have speeches to make for special events. I encountered a woman who was in a leading management position and was confident in her role but when the time came to step out on a stage with a full audience and bright lights, she was absolutely terrified. I want to help people to feel more relaxed and to encourage them into a mental space where the public speaking experience can be more enjoyable, or at least more bearable.
I have been working with people to help them to develop their presentation skills since 2016. I have worked with aspiring and established actors, have taught theatre and film classes to kids and teens, worked with people who had never stepped foot on a stage before and with others who would rather sit and do research behind a desk but as part of their field have no choice but to speak to a group of people. Each person has a different journey when it comes to working on developing their presentation skills. My intention is to help people to feel more confident when they find themselves in front of a crowd and to help them to do the best presentation they can do.
Testimonials
“Rachel is a wonderful person and the hours we spent together were full of learning and fun. When I was rehearsing with her, I felt like I could communicate in English very efficiently, even though it’s not my first language. She helped me improve my communication skills as well as my self-confidence.”

“Rachel was so patient and easy to work with and meets you where you are at. I loved all the tips and constructive feedback she provided and was very amazed at how much more confidence I had, to tell my story on stage after spending five sessions with her.”
— Sangeetha
“It was great to work with our acting program coordinator Rachel. She patiently taught me how to act and speak when I was facing a crowd of people in the public. It was an amazing experience.”
— Amy
“In 6 one-hour- performance- coaching sessions, Rachel helped me to gain great confidence to present my story in front of so many audiences at the Shoe Project. This was my first performance on a big stage in English, not my native language. It was a wonderful and very pleasant experience working with her, my performance coach. Not only mine but also I observed big improvements in the other storytellers in that project, who also had performance coaching sessions with Rachel.”
