Improv for Caregivers
Description:
This workshop is for caregivers of loved ones with dementia, as well as family members and friends. Participants will learn theatre-based techniques to support imaginative engagement, maintain composure in unexpected situations, and adapt to a changing atmosphere. No acting experience or interest in acting is required to benefit from the workshop. All exercises are led in a supportive, accessible, and low-pressure environment.
Personal Connection:
Rachel’s father had Dementia, she spent her mid to late twenties as a caregiver, alongside her mother. “Improv for Caregivers” is Rachel’s way to help others who are navigating the changes and challenges that Dementia brings.
